We have over 100 staff based in five offices across South Cumbria and the Furness Peninsula, making us one of the largest independent solicitors and estate agents in the South Lake District.

Poole Townsend was initially established as solicitors by Poole & Son in the 1860's. Poole & Son then merged with local firm, Townsends in 1993 and are now recognised as one of the few Cumbrian companies offering a one-stop shop for legal, financial and property advice.

The firm’s partners have a combined experience of over 130 years and we invest continuously in the training and development of our support staff, giving us the best team in the area and offering you a full and comprehensive service that you can trust.

Our Legal services departments are headed by the Partners who each specialise in a particular area of legal work (see Key People) from the team’s head office in Barrow in Furness.

Property services are directed by David Corrie FCIB, MNAEA assisted by highly-qualified valuers and negotiators.

Our Financial services department covers a broad range of services and is directed by Derek Pearce Cert PFS, Cert CII(MP), MNAEA.
